JJIRA++ GitHub

Run Jira from one conversation.

JIRA++ is an open source workspace for Jira Cloud. Type a command or ask in plain words, and it creates, moves and assigns issues, reads your sprint, and draws the charts. It runs on your own machine with Docker.

Who has the most open work?

Priya has 7 open issues, 3 of them in review. Sam has 2. Moving WEB-139 to Sam would keep the sprint on pace.

A command for everything you do in Jira

Type / for commands and @ to mention people, issues, projects and sprints. Every command runs against your real Jira, with your permissions.

/create bug Checkout fails on Safari @Priya !highOpens a draft to check, then creates the issue
/move WEB-148 doneMoves an issue through your workflow
/sprintProgress, pace and burndown for the active sprint
/standup 2What finished, started and stalled, by person
/chart cycle 90dCycle time, velocity, cumulative flow and six more charts
/plan Gift cards at checkoutBreaks a feature into issues you review before creating

Or skip the commands and ask: which issues are at risk this sprint, and why?

Runs on your machine

  • Your Jira, preloadedList your project keys in .env. Statuses, sprints, people and open issues are loaded when it starts.
  • Your choice of modelClaude, OpenAI, or any OpenAI compatible server such as Ollama. Commands work with no model at all.
  • Nothing in betweenRequests go from your machine straight to Jira and to the model you picked. No hosted service sees your data.

Set it up

You need Docker, a Jira Cloud site and an Atlassian API token.

  1. Clone the repository.

git clone https://github.com/yesabhishek/jeera.git && cd jeera
  2. Create your .env, then fill in your Jira site, email, API token, the project keys to load and a model key.

    cp .env.example .env
  3. Start it, then open localhost:3000.

    docker compose up -d

Changed .env later? Run docker compose up -d again to apply it.
